Time-Sharing

Time-Sharing

Florida no longer uses the terms “custody”, “primary and secondary residential parents”, and “visitation”. Instead, the term “time-sharing” is used and is a timetable that must be included in a parenting plan that specifies the time, including overnights and holidays, that a minor child will spend with each parent. The time-sharing schedule can either be agreed to by the parties, or if the parties are unable to agree, the court will establish one.
